ANTARCTICA:
THE MELTING SILENCE
An immersive multimedia installation uniting art, technology, and community to explore Antarctica’s beauty and inspire climate action.
BIG IDEA
ANTARCTICA: THE MELTING SILENCE is a captivating creative project by Lookport and Communications INC in partnership with ASOC. This stunning visual installation, located at Outernet in the heart of London, is open to the public for all to experience.
The core idea takes us to the realisation that humans are inextricably linked to nature and must treat it with care and respect to avoid completely destroying it. Our story's main setting is Antarctica, the centre of our planet.
Specifically a frozen ice cave with a magical microcosm that leads the lone explorer into the depths of the southern ocean where he is face to face with all the mysteries and wildlife that live there. As the explorer goes deeper and deeper they are enveloped in complete darkness and forced into a profound dialogue with their own soul.

PREVIOUS
PROJECTS
In 2021, musicians from across the globe were
transported to the South Pole for the virtual reality
"Only One Antarctica" concert as part of the global
campaign to protect the Southern Ocean.
British chart-toppers Jess Glynne and Julian Perretta, Joe Vasconcellos from Chile and lots of other artists – with a little help from the latest VR technologies – performed their hit songs from the top majestic icebergs to raise awareness about the need to protect Antarctica’s waters. The breath-taking concert was broadcast across multiple timezones.
